People were invited to get creative as part of an event promoting this year's Cromer and Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival.

In Cromer on Sunday festival presidents Noel Gant and Hilary Thompson were presented with special crab and lobster chains to mark their official roles and there was also a sand drawing event on the beach run by the Open Door Community Arts Project and the 2 Minutes of Your Time Community Film Project.

The drawing event was filmed and will eventually become a sand animation of a giant crab running into the sea, which will be used to promote the Cromer & Sheringham Crab & Lobster Festival, which takes place from May 20-22.

Jane Wisson, press officer for the festival, said: 'It all went really well from what I have been told. The idea with the crab drawing was that as the tide came in, it would look as though it was going into the sea.'
