The end of an era is nigh in Sheringham, where the historic town hall is due to close next week.
The final town council meeting was held at the Church Street building on August 6, and the clerk's office will move out on Monday, August 12.
Meetings and the clerk will now be based at the community centre in Holway Road. The council decided to move out of the 1901 building in March to cut costs and improve accessibility. Its second floor council chamber accessible only via a steep and winding staircase or a stair-lift.
A spokesman said: "The town hall has been identified as not fit for purpose, citing in particular, parking, and health and safety issues for staff and councillors alike, coupled with limited practical access for members of the public at town council meetings."
The town council will retain ownership of the building for the time being, and a final decision about its fate has not yet been made.
