Coastguard rescue teams were called out to the cliffs at Hopton after reports a man and his dog had gone over the edge.
The call out was reported at 7.05pm on Sunday and saw the Lowestoft and Bacton Coastguard Rescue Teams called out.
Their specialist skills were not needed as the man, who was a holiday maker, had managed to get down the cliff with his dog.
A statement from the Lowestoft team said: “Upon arrival the man made us aware he had managed to get down the cliff with his dog, uninjured. We liaised with him at his caravan, gave some safety advice to the holidaymaker and his family and left an emergency number for the local vets should it be needed. Both the gentleman and dog were very shaken.”
On Saturday the Bacton team and the crew of Hemsby lifeboat were paged at 4.47pm to multiple 999 calls about a small rubber dinghy drifting out to sea from Winterton.
The lifeboat found the dinghy, which had a father and his daughter in, 500 metres from the shore. The occupants were said to be extremely cold and near hypothermic.
