Major carriageway repair and resurfacing works on the A149 North Walsham Bypass are soon to get underway.

The £70,000 project at the junction with B1150 Norwich Road will see overnight road closures from Tuesday, April 3 for four nights. During the works, Norfolk County Council and its contractors will close both B1150 Norwich Road approaches to the A149 to all through traffic between 7pm and 7am.

Traffic will still be able to use the A149 under two way traffic signal control whilst works are in progress. Signed diversion routes will be in place during the works for the diverted Norwich Road traffic.

A spokesman said: 'Access to businesses and properties within the limits of the closure will be maintained from one end at all times but it is inevitable that there will be some disruption.

'The county council would like to thank people for their patience while these works to replace the existing worn out road surface are carried out.'
