About 15 private gardens including one or two allotments will be open for the first time in many years in one of Norfolk’s most beautiful villages.

Money raised from Cley-next-the-Sea's open gardens will go to the Cley Harbour community-based project dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of the quay and harbour, and Cley church flower fund.

Kaye Read, one of the organisers, said: "Some friends and I thought it would be fun to organise open gardens to raise funds for the community.

"The gardens come in all shapes, sizes and styles, guaranteeing something of interest for everyone.

"There will also be a competition to keep younger visitors amused - the famous Cley Harbour pirates will be hiding in the gardens."

Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16, from 12pm to 4pm on both days. Entry £5 per person, with accompanied children free. Free parking in the village hall car park.
