A host of events will be helping to fill visitors to Aylsham Parish Church with festive spirit, with the launch of a Christmas tree festival marking the start of an extended weekend of seasonal celebrations.
Timed to coincide with the town's annual switch-on event, which takes place on Friday, the festival, which runs until December 30, will feature trees decorated by 35 local, national and international charities.
The church will also be hosting a Christmas market from 9am-midday on Monday, November 27, as well as a Medieval Christmas concert featuring Norfolk-based trio Hexicordia on Wednesday, November 29.
Rector of Aylsham, Rev Canon Andrew Beane said: 'Our Christmas Tree Festival is about promoting the charitable work of lots of different organisations in the town and reminding visitors that at the heart of Christmas is generosity, hospitality, and of course the birth of Jesus.'
