A north Norfolk school has been hosting a range of events to mark languages week.

Pupils at North Walsham Junior School in Manor Road, North Walsham, have been given the chance to explore the French and Spanish culture as years three and four are learning Spanish and years five and six are learning French.

The school has had a host of activities taking place all week, including giving pupils the chance to learn other languages such as Chinese and Latin.

Sally Tong, a teacher at the school, said: 'The play leaders at the school, who are 10 and 11-years-old, have also been teaching younger children about languages and taking part in parachute games using French and Spanish numbers. There has been a real buzz about it in the school.'
