A north Norfolk factory was evacuated this morning after a chemical leak was discovered.
Nearly 30 firefighters were called to the Heinz site on Station Road, Worstead, just before 9am due to a faulty valve which was allowing a small amount of ammonia to escape.
Workers were forced to leave the building while crews from North Walsham, Stalham, Wroxham, the emergency tender from Great Yarmouth and chemical incident unit from Norwich dealt with the problem.
A spokesman from the fire service said it had taken about two hours to isolate the valve and stop the leak, but there had been no injuries and no need for decontamination.
