From the town’s famous crabs, to fresh seafood, fish and chips on the beach, and ice creams on the pier, Cromer is well known for its array of seaside foods.

And this week, the town welcomed a special guest who is no stranger to fresh ingredients.

Celebrity chef, and former presenter of the BBC One show, Saturday Kitchen, James Martin, visited Cromer on Monday, July 16.

The presenter shared a snap of his view looking out over the town’s pier, with the caption: “Here, visiting my mate for the day.”

And eagle-eyed Twitter users soon recognised the location as the popular seafront restaurant and fish and chip shop, No 1 Cromer,

The chef, who now hosts James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV, was also spotted on Cromer beach.

Martin had a camera crew in tow and was cooking at a table set up on the shoreline.
