A charity variety show which was due to take place in north Norfolk this week has been cancelled.

The GIFT (Good Intentions Fundraising Team) show which was taking place at Auden theatre in Holt on Friday has been cancelled because of poor ticket sales.

The show, which included a variety of local acts, was being held to raise money for St John Ambulance in Aylsham, the Friends of Aldborough Surgery and the Grand Order of Water Rats, a show-business charity which supports the variety show.

GIFT chairman, Yvonne Tiffany said they were disappointed but were now putting their energies into organising other events set to come up through the rest of the year, which includes a quiz night in March and another variety show to be put on in September.
