A re-use initiative is helping providing a cash boost for a community group in Coltishall.
Coltishall Village Hall and Recreation Ground is among 10 local charities and good causes which have received grants thanks to the initiative at five of Norfolk County Council's household waste recycling centres which are operated by May Gurney.
May Gurney teams working at the recycling centres rescue good quality unwanted non-electrical items, diverting them from landfill and instead selling to local residents at car boot prices.
Working in partnership with the Norfolk Community Foundation, May Gurney and Norfolk County Council are donating the profits from the re-use shops in the form of grants of up to 500 to community groups and charities.
