North Norfolk residents now have access to better cancer support thanks to a new service at Cromer and District Hospital.

Norfolk and Waveney cancer charity Big C has started weekly drop-in sessions to provide those affected by cancer with the chance to talk in confidence with an expert.

A wide range of advice, information and signposting is available, including how to access financial and welfare support or counselling services. Complementary therapies can also be booked to take place at Big C's support and information centre in King's Lynn.

Sam Glee, acting director of operations at the charity, said: 'We have been working on providing cancer support and information sessions at Cromer Hospital for a while and we are pleased that those in North Norfolk affected by cancer can now access the support that they need closer to home.'

The sessions take place every Wednesday from 9.30am to 3pm in the atrium on the ground floor.
