More than 100 people turned up at a public meeting to try and save a popular north Norfolk pub.

Campaigners have set up a Facebook group to save the Erpingham Arms and a community meeting was held at the village hall on Friday, April 13.

The Eagle Road pub closed last October after a poor summer of business, and the owners have since applied for a change of use, to enable it to be used for residential development.

Campaigner Sue Lawrence said: 'The meeting went really well. We have such a lot of support and over 100 people turned up! We ran out of chairs at one point so standing room only.

'The pub protection officer from CAMRA was there and he was really helpful and informative. We are now in the process of putting together a community group and applying for an ACV (Asset of Community Value) for the pub.'
