A forum for north Norfolk's businesspeople is dropping its membership fee to allow it to reach out to more people.

North Norfolk business Forum (NNBF), which was set up in 2005 to support and help promote small and medium sized companies, will scrapped its yearly, 25 fee from April 1.

In its place, the forum will charge people who chose to take a more active involvement in the group each time they attend an NNBF event.

Businessmen and women who regularly go to the talks and meetings held by the forum will be able to pay a one-off 25 fee before March 31 to allow them free entry into all events in 2009.

Chairman Ian Doughty said: 'I hope everyone feels that this is a fairer way of contributing to the support and benefits offered by the North Norfolk Business Forum.'

NNBF, which receives funding from the district council and the North Norfolk Community Partnership, acts as a voice for the district's businesses and lobbies politicians on issues affecting employers and employees.
