Saris, shimmering and shaking to India's spicy rhythms brought a touch of Bollywood glamour and spice to a rural north Norfolk school.

Children from the Kidzone after-school and holiday club, based in the grounds of North Walsham's Manor Road schools, have spent four weeks learning the art of Bollywood and bhangra dancing from teacher Tina Vallance, of Dereham-based Jaya Dance.

And on Friday, the 15 children performed a routine in front of pupils and parents at the Manor Road Infant School and Nursery.

Kidzone play work manager Teresa Turner said the young dancers, aged four to eight, had thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They had borrowed saris, bells and musical instruments from Ms Vallance.

'It brought them into contact with a culture we don't see much of in North Walsham,' she added.
