One of north Norfolk's heritage treasures features in a new illustrated book by BBC broadcaster Jules Hudson.
The Countryfile and Escape To The Country star has produced the volume called Walled Gardens to showcase Britain's beautiful and most important hidden highlights, including the garden at Blicking Estate.
Mr Hudson said he first discovered walled gardens 30 years ago in rural north Wales. 'I've developed a growing fascination, captivated by these curious contradictions – a riot of colour married with order and functionality yet for all the sense of industry walled gardens are places that wrap you up in a sense of calm, a door that separates the outside world from the one within – a space of enchantment, an escape from the burden of day -to -day life.'
Blickling has a four-acre walled garden, which is currently undergoing restoration.
