Youngsters from nine schools laced up their running shoes and braved Monday's blustery weather for a cross-country, the first such event hosted by Beeston Hall School.
More than 350 children from nine different schools took part in the annual Cromer and Sheringham Schools Sports' Partnership Cross Country Race took place at Beeston Hall.
Bob Hammond, the school's director of sport, said he was delighted with the turn-out to the event, and said he hoped the school would continue to host the cross-country, which was previously held at Holt Hall.
Mr Hammond said: 'Cross-country is one of the things that we do a lot of.
'It teaches the children that some things are not easy and they might a bit painful, but if they persevere they can get through that barrier.'
Pupils in Years 3 to 6 took part, and courses varied between 1,200 metres for the younger ones to 1,900 metres for the oldest.
The run started and finished at the school's cricket field, where a group of parents gathered to cheer on their little ones.
