The founder of clean beaches initiative has paid a visit to the north Norfolk coast, as a seaside attraction in Mundesley has joined the effort to keep our beaches beautiful.

Martin Dorey, who launched a #2minutebeachclean scheme, was at the village’s Beach Hut Café recently to thank the team there for taking over running the scheme’s boards, from where people can get plastic bags to clean up the beach.

The cafe, run by Paula and Martin Gray, has taken over managing the boards from Mundesley Coastwatch team.

Bags that grocery items come in can be donated to the board.

Also, the Marine Conservation Society is planning to run beach cleans in Mundesley on Sunday, May 27 from 11am, starting opposite Beach Hut Café, on Saturday, June 30 at 11am starting from Vale Road.

There will also be a clean-up on Sunday, August 5 from 10am opposite the Beach Hut Café.
