Aylsham grandfather-of-seven Robin Rush received his MBE from The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William at Buckingham Palace.
Mr Rush was made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours in recognition of more than 40 years of cycling, swimming and running for charity.
The 76-year-old has raised more than £150,000 for good causes by competing in cycling and running events all over the UK and Europe.
As well as running 10 marathons, he has taken part in Cromer's Boxing Day swim for 20 years.
Mr Rush said: 'It was quite an awe-inspiring day. The prince is such a nice, genuine guy. He met 60 people and when it came to me, he still had time to talk to me about what I had done.
'When I found out about the MBE I felt a bit overwhelmed and I had a tear in my eye - it is my proudest moment.'
