The 5,000 members of a Facebook group showing live coverage of people fishing along the UK coastline have raised nearly £600 for Sheringham RNLI.
Coast 2 Coast Livestream Fishing UK, which allows angling enthusiasts to see and interact with people taking part in matches, or just out fishing for pleasure, has 18 dedicated live streamers who are available to chat and answer questions about equipment and fishing techniques with followers.
Group administrator James Bishop said that since being launched, Coast 2 Coast had grown beyond all expectation.
'It allows people to see what's happening when we fish, whether it is highs or lows,' he added. 'And we've found this proves popular with people who are unable to sea fish anymore, or who just want to listen to the sound of the sea to help them sleep.'
Group members presented a cheque to Sheringham lifeboat crew members Paul Pretty and Jez Brown at a meet held at Weybourne beach.
