Some people living within a large area of west Norfolk may still have little or no running water in their homes after a burst main.
Anglian Water said some homes in and around Dersingham and Sandringham may have low pressure or no water at all.
The utility firm was at first unsure as to what was causing the issue, but have now confirmed that a burst main in the area is behind the problem.
Its systems has originally indicated that it may have been caused by a leak in the area.
Anglian Water originally estimated it would be able to resolve the problem by around noon on Wednesday.
However, the firm said it was "a complex job which is taking longer than we had originally hoped".
Water supply is now expected to be restored by 4pm.
Once the supply has been restored to affected homes, some people may find their water is cloudy or discoloured – but running taps for a few minutes should clear this issue.
