A man who was wielding a sword in Cromer town centre has been sent to prison.
At Norwich Crown Court on Friday, October 20, Andrew Sinclair, 56, was sentenced to 24 months behind bars.
Officers were called to Runton Road following reports that a man armed with a sword was seen acting aggressively towards other men in the area, at around 10pm on August 23, this year.
Sinclair was detained a short time afterwards by police officers on Church Street, outside the Albion pub, and he was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre, where he was questioned and later charged over the incident.
In September, Sinclair appeared from Norwich prison via a video link and admitted affray and having an offensive weapon, namely a sword, in a public place.
