Allotment holders in Aylsham are being urged to tighten up their shed security.

Police have issued the warning following a shed break-in, reported to police on Wednesday , at allotments based along Old Cromer Road.

Thieves forced their way into the shed and stole a several items including a lawnmower, strimmer, petrol cans, gas canisters and a number of tools.

Shed owners have now been urged to follow police advice in improving shed security, including fitting good quality mortice locks or padlocks, installing a security light and shed alarm to deter potential thieves and using padlocks and chains to secure high value items.
