‘Alien alert’ as UFO crash-lands at Norfolk school
A UFO crash-landed during an educational ‘Alien Day’ at a Norfolk school.
Staff at Buxton Primary school in north Norfolk set up a pretend UFO crash-landing in the playground, and filled the hall full of alien activities.
All the children and staff dressed up for the day and students had to investigate what had happened and use it in their studies.
Year six teacher Juliet Stops said: “‘Alien Day’ at Buxton is all about maximising learning opportunities and having a great deal of fun at the same time. Happy children are engaged and motivated children.
“The aims are to inspire writing through building children’s imagination. We also build in other subjects like science and art.
“The younger children are completely sold by the idea and are on full ‘alien alert’ all day.
“Days like this bring the school together and help to sustain the family atmosphere we have at Buxton.”
