Folk music from Britain and US highlighted at Norfolk concert

Folk music from Britain and the US will be spotlighted in the spring concert at St Mary’s Church in Worstead.

The Choir Worstead will perform Across the Pond from 7.30pm on Saturday, May 12.

The -programme will include Rutter: The Sprig of Thyme and Copland: Old American Songs plus Bernstein: medley from West Side Story.

The community choir performs locally at events, weddings, funerals and in concerts and covers all sorts of music, including classical, modern, musicals, plus a bit of folk and pop, The choir supports the famous Worstead festival, and is always happy to welcome new members, with men needed most.

Tickets at £7 are available on the door. Free to anyone in full-time education. There will be a retiring collection for the church.
