A courtyard garden project has been completed at Woodfields School in Sheringham.

The sensory courtyard has been designed to support pupils with complex needs by providing a fully accessible, multi-sensory outdoor space.

The project was led by Dan and Zea of DMN Gardening Limited, who are also parents of a pupil at the school.

Matthew Smith, business manager at the school, said: "It’s amazing to see what staff, parents and local businesses can do in such a short space of time.

"The new facilities will be enjoyed for many years to come."

The couple coordinated the project and secured support from nearby businesses including Beechwood Landscapes, Plantgrow, Edgefield Nurseries, and Thaxters to source materials.

The courtyard features raised beds filled with multi-sensory plants, a music station, and a chalkboard, all designed to be fully wheelchair accessible.

Sheringham Woodfields School is a purpose-built facility for pupils with complex learning and health needs.

It currently employs more than 160 staff to support its 161 pupils.
