At least 200 children and young people took part in this year’s BeachLife outreach in Sheringham.

The four-day Christian event, themed around 'Hope,' ran from Monday, August 24 to Thursday, August 27, and offered a packed programme of fun, games, and faith exploration on the clifftops and beach.

Sheringham’s mayor judged sand sculptures at the event.

Peter Skivington, planning group leader, said: "It was fantastic once again to partner in sharing the gospel with so many children, young people & families. Let’s pray that they remember the fun they have had learning about Jesus this week, and that what they discovered about Him impacts their lives."

At least 200 children and young people attended one or more activities, with many parents and family members joining in the afternoon and evening sessions.

Mornings began on The Leas with the Beach Special, featuring songs, challenges, drama, and the ever-popular gunge tank.

Participants then split into age groups for 'Going Deeper' sessions, exploring the daily theme through creative and engaging activities.

Stories included Jesus healing a paralysed man, calming a storm, raising Lazarus, and appearing on the road to Emmaus.

Afternoon events featured beach games, a tide fight, and a family picnic at St Peter’s Church.

Evening activities included putting at the Beeston Hill green, swimming at The Reef, and the return of the 'Sheropoly' youth trail.

All events were free to attend.

BeachLife is organised by Sheringham churches and supported by more than 70 volunteers.

Funding came from the Sheringham Poors and Ploughlet Trust, the Diocese of Norwich, and individual donors.

Feedback on the BeachLife Facebook page was positive.

One parent, Bryony, said on Facebook: "It’s been a truly wonderful few days and my son has so enjoyed it.

"Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

"He’s been singing the songs non-stop."
