What started as an internet craze is now the theme of a new business venture in a north Norfolk town.
The Slime Studio has opened its doors in Holt's Feathers Yard, offering a hands-on experience where visitors can design and make their own personalised slime from start to finish.
Options include choosing the base, colours, scents, decorations and unique charms to take home.
Founder Lara Doughty said: "After years working in travel, I wanted to build something that brought people together through creativity and fun.
"Seeing children and adults become completely absorbed in making something with their own hands and watching families laugh and create together has been incredibly rewarding. Everyone is so happy and proud of their creations.
"I wanted to create an experience that children remember long after they’ve left.
"Watching their faces light up as they create something that’s completely their own is what makes it all worthwhile.
"It’s messy, creative, screen-free fun that families can enjoy together."
Inspiration for the studio came from time abroad with her children.
They came across a slime shop and her children "immediately wanted to go in".
They chose their own charms and it became "a highlight of their holiday".
The concept began as a pop-up shop and proved so popular that Ms Doughty decided to make it permanent, with some visitors queueing for up to 45 minutes.
Moving forward, she hopes to hold regular workshops, birthday parties, seasonal events and new slime experiences throughout the year.
Ms Doughty said: "The response since opening has been amazing, and it’s been fantastic welcoming so many local families into the studio.
"I’d love it to become somewhere families return to again and again to make memories together."
The Slime Studio is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm throughout August and other school holidays.
During term time, it will be open Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and then the whole weekend for birthday parties or private events all year round.
