A cult classic musical set to deliver laughter, music, and a touch of green menace is heading to the stage.
Little Shop of Horrors will be performed at Sheringham Little Theatre during August as part of its professional repertory drama season.
The show, which first debuted on Broadway in 1982, tells the story of a mysterious and murderous plant with dreams of world domination, set to a lively 1960s-style soundtrack filled with rock and roll, doo-wop, and early Motown.
Harry Wyatt, who plays the plant, Audrey, is no stranger to the show, having directed and performed in a youth production at the same theatre in 2017.
Mr Wyatt said: "I love the show, it's my favourite musical – combining some great music with a silly story, lots of heart, some strong over-the-top characters, and a plot which has fans waiting for their favourite bits, with newcomers wondering what will happen next."
A regular performer at the theatre since childhood, Mr Wyatt has gone on to become a professional actor, appearing in pantomimes in Sheringham and Harrogate and performing on cruise ships.
He said: "I'm so excited and can't wait to do this show again in the summer season."
The cast also features Jonathan Iceton as Seymour Krelbourn, Lucy Connor as Audrey, and Donald Forbes as Mr Mushnik.
Sheringham Little Theatre director Debbie Thompson said: "I remember the original show in which young starred, directed and even made all the costumes, so when he joined our summer cast this year we jumped at the chance to do it again, as it approaches its 40th anniversary."
The show is not recommended for children under 10.
Performance dates are August 5-6, 8, 10-11, and 24-25.
