The application was put forward by John and Lynda Malcolm for a site called Two Acres in Little Snoring near Fakenham.
This would include three detached three-bed homes along with two pairs of two-storey semi-detached properties.
Two of the homes will consist of four bedrooms, with the remaining properties comprising of two beds.
It was said that this will ensure "a good mix of house styles and sizes across the development".
Sufficient vehicle parking will also be provided by garages and off-road allocated spaces.
A planning statement with the application said the homes represent "a sustainable form of development".
The statement added the site will provide "a particularly pleasant environment in which to live" - including sufficient space exists to ensure "a spacious layout is achieved".
North Norfolk District Council is due to make a decision on the outline plans at a later date.
