Anticipation is building for the return of North Walsham Children's Day as it promises a variety of fun activities.

Running from 11am to 4pm on Monday, May 4, the event is set to unfold in the grounds of St Nicholas Church and the town's Market Place.

Organised by hardworking volunteers, the event aims to cater to everyone.

Many attractions will be available on a donation basis to ensure inclusivity.

Entertainment on offer includes bouncy castles, The Animal Experience, a ride-on steam engine, as well as appearances by Star Wars characters.

Families can enjoy interactive activities such as Knock Out Entertainment’s balloon modelling, as well as appearances from Murphy the Baby Dinosaur.

Traditional favourites, such as Punch & Judy shows, will now take place inside the church.

A selection of food and drink vendors will be present, complemented by a variety of stalls catering to all ages.

The event will also include members of the emergency services, imparting knowledge to children about their community roles.

A highlight of the day will be the stocks, featuring several well-known local personalities, such as Rob Murphy, chairman; Bob Wright, town mayor; David Warner, church vicar; Rob Emery, committee member; and Dan Krawczyk, church representative.

Organisers have expressed their gratitude for the continued support of North Walsham Town Council, North Walsham Community Shop, and Minors & Brady, whose contributions have helped make many parts of the day free to enjoy.

Anyone interested in volunteering on the day or joining the committee can reach out via social media or email at nwchildrensday@gmail.com.

People across the town are encouraged to keep May 4 from 11am–4pm free for a day promising community fun and enjoyment.
