A Norwich actor is set to star in Beauty and the Beast in a musical in Cromer.
The Cromer and Sheringham Operatic and Dramatic Society is rehearsing for its annual full-scale musical on Cromer Pier, set to start on May 23.
Beauty and the Beast will feature a large cast wearing fairytale costumes, backed by a live orchestra.
Norwich-based Lewis Aves will play the role of Gaston, the hunter in love with Belle.
Mr Aves has previously played Billy Bigelow in Carousel at the Theatre Royal and Jean Valjean in the 40th anniversary celebrations of Les Misérables at the Royal Albert Hall.
After these dramatic roles, he is now embracing the chance to play a more light-hearted character.
Beauty and the Beast will be performed at Cromer Pier from May 23 to May 30, with ten performances in total, including a relaxed performance.
Tickets can be purchased from the pier box office on 01263 512495 or online at www.cromerpier.co.uk.
With both matinee and early evening performances available, the show promises to be a treat for all ages.
