An archery club has found a new home after relocating to a nearby village and is encouraging more people to take up the sport.

Iceni Archers is moving from Horsham St Faiths to Worstead and will use the community playing fields as a new outdoor archery range.

The move was made possible through a partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hall committee and Worstead Parish Council, with indoor sessions taking place at the hall.

Keith Sleightholm, chairman of Iceni Archers, said: "This is a new chapter for our club and we have been delighted by the positive response to our move.

"We hope to attract new archers to this popular sport from Aylsham, North Walsham and the Broads, offering a welcoming club environment with training and support for archers of all abilities."

Iceni Archers will hold their first shoot in Worstead on Sunday, April 12 and sessions will continue every Sunday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am.

The club will also be offering four-week beginners’ courses this month, giving people from the surrounding towns and villages the opportunity to try archery.
