A school has been praised for delivering “excellent outcomes” for disadvantaged pupils.
Stalham Infant and Junior School received the recognition in a letter from secretary of state for education Bridget Phillipson, who commended the Norfolk school for its results and said it is "among the very best nationally."
The achievement is based on last year’s SATs performance in Year 6, alongside phonics progress checks in Year 1 and multiplication tables assessments in Year 4.
Glenn Russell, executive principal at the school, said: "I am delighted that our brilliant staff and fantastic pupils have been recognised for their achievement by the Department for Education.

"We are proud of our inclusive school and exceptionally proud of the progress that all our children make.
"This recognition is a real reflection of the team's effort behind the scenes every single day.
"Great results don’t happen by chance.
"They come from high quality teaching day in, day out, consistent routines and expectations and a shared commitment to helping children build strong foundations in reading, writing and maths.
"We believe every child can succeed and we are determined to provide the very best opportunities for all pupils so that they leave us confident, capable and ready for the next stage of their education."
The school is part of the Broad Horizons Education Trust.
Owen Jones, CEO of the trust, said: "This is a very welcome letter to receive and I would like to congratulate Glenn, the whole staff team and children at Stalham Infant & Junior school for all their hard work and dedication, which has been recognised nationally.
"We will continue to share best practice across the trust, supporting our schools so that every child gets the best start in life."
The letter from Ms Phillipson described the results as a "significant achievement" for both staff and pupils.
