Cromer and Sheringham are known for their centuries-old rivalry.
And now a new feud between the coastal neighbours has emerged after plans to scrap A-levels at Sheringham Sixth Form were believed to have been 'leaked' early by Cromer Academy.
Sheringham High School and Sixth Form, run by Synergy Multi-Academy Trust, told their pupils and parents about the shocking news on Wednesday afternoon.
However, it has been said that Cromer Academy ended up spilling the news first as it rang parents of the affected pupils on Wednesday morning.

In a letter sent out to parents of Sheringham High School and Sixth Form, the head of school Dawn Hollidge said they had informed headteachers of other locals schools ahead of the announcement so they could prepare support for the affected pupils.
But this was under the premise that the information was not shared until they had informed their own students and parents.
She said she wrote the letter to express her "disappointment" that their plans to inform the students and parents had been "undermined by the actions of another local school".

She added: "Whilst all other headteachers have respected these professional boundaries, unfortunately, one local school chose not to do so and released information publicly in advance, leading to inaccurate and incomplete information being shared on social media and in the community.
"Our priority is always to ensure that our students and our parent community receive accurate and timely information directly from us, so that we can provide clarity and answer any questions you may have.
"It is regrettable that this breach of professional trust has occurred, and I hope that you will take the opportunity to read the communications we have sent out this afternoon in order to address any confusion."
While the letter did not reference Cromer Academy directly, parents of children at the school confirmed that they had been called on Wednesday morning.

One parent, who does not wish to be named, said: "We were not aware that Sheringham pupils and parents were not being made aware.
"We fully support, and thank Cromer for putting our children's wellbeing first by informing us when they did.
"If Sheringham had managed this better there would have been no 'leak'."
Cromer Academy and Synergy MAT have been contacted for comment.
