A primary school has boosted its library through the success of a book fair.

Horning Primary School hosted the East Waveney Bookworm Book Fayre alongside its second Story Café event, inviting parents and carers to join pupils in exploring the joy of reading together.

Pupils enjoyed reading Pattern Fish and used the story as inspiration to create repeating patterns and solve maths challenges.

They also had the opportunity to browse and purchase books at the fayre.

Jan Bellison, head of school, said: "I would like to say a big thank you to all the families that joined us for our Story Café and Book Fayre, and for everyone’s generous support and contributions which made the afternoon such a success.

"We sold an incredible 80 books, which meant that we were able to choose 18 free books for our school library.

"The entire afternoon gave a tremendous support to our young readers, and has helped towards building a library that will inspire a love of reading for years to come."
