A town on the north Norfolk coast has a brand-new attraction after a miniature railway officially opened at the weekend.
The Mayor of Cromer was first in line to cut the ribbon and take a ride on the 7¼ inch gauge track, which winds its way around the grounds of the Cromer Hall Estate.
The Cromer Miniature Railway Club ran free preview rides across the August Bank Holiday, drawing big crowds keen to be among the first passengers.
More than 300 people hopped aboard on the opening day alone.
The railway can be reached via the Amazona Zoo car park off Hall Road or the estate’s “Pick Your Own” entrance.
Hugh Cabbell Manners, owner and managing trustee of the estate, said: “It all went very well. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

The railway club, founded in 2020 after the closure of the Ashmanhaugh Light Railway, has spent the past four years building the attraction from scratch.

Volunteers have worked tirelessly to lay the track, prepare locomotives and create a new home for enthusiasts.

As well as offering rides, it will provide opportunities for volunteers to learn about railway operations - from signalling and track work to driving engines.
The miniature railway now joins a growing list of attractions on the Cromer Hall Estate.
Alongside Amazona Zoo, the popular strawberry “pick your own” fields and a football golf course, it adds another string to the estate’s bow.

The club is also keen to welcome new members.
