A teenager has been crowned champion of a prestigious rifle competition.

Eighteen-year-old Georgina Bohn, a recent Gresham’s School leaver, won the 2025 Guernsey Grand Aggregate rifle competition.

Representing the Great Britain under-19 rifle team, Miss Bohn travelled to Guernsey as one of the nation’s top eight young shooting talents.

She led the Grand Aggregate after the first day with a near-flawless score of 105.17 out of 105.21.

Shooting at 500 yards and 600 yards, she delivered a 75.12v in the 500-yard Castella event, opening up a six-point lead over the field.

The championship came down to a finish between Miss Bohn and last year's winner, Alexander Stewart of the Guernsey Rifle Club.

Despite the pressure, Miss Bohn held her nerve at the 600-yard shoot, securing the Grand Aggregate title by a margin of four points.

This triumph builds on her performance at the 2025 Imperial Meeting at Bisley in July, where she became the youngest finalist in the King’s Prize Final, finishing 63rd out of 100 finalists.

Master in charge of shooting at Gresham’s, Freddie Grounds, said: "Georgina’s achievements on the range have been incredible, and it’s been a pleasure to watch her skill and confidence grow over the years.

Open to all competitors, the Guernsey Grand Aggregate trophy is awarded to the competitor whose scores make up the highest aggregate score across the seven individual shooting competitions.

Gresham’s School, in north Norfolk, boasts an eight-lane indoor rifle range and has a history of nurturing young shooters.
