Aylsham High School celebrate success of Matilda Jr

Aylsham High School have celebrated the success of its 25th musical production.

Matilda Jr, an adaptation of the Broadway hit show by Tim Minchin based on Roald Dahl’s well-known story, was a huge success.

Students from all year groups joined together with staff to stage the show over four performances, which all ended in a standing ovation.Aylsham High School celebrates success of Matilda Jr Aylsham High School celebrates success of Matilda Jr (Image: Darren Neale) Tracy Mitton, who directed her last show at Aylsham High School, said: "I am so extremely proud of the talented students in the production.

"Their hard work certainly paid off; it was truly outstanding and unforgettable."

Duncan Spalding, executive headteacher at Aylsham High School, said: "I absolutely adored seeing our revolting children in action for our wonderful production of Matilda Jr.

"It was a complete triumph and a thoroughly joyous experience for the audience and for our students taking part.

"The creative and performing arts are at the very heart of our school community and give our young people the chance to shine together."
