A retired man who volunteered for more than 30 years for the RNLI has been appointed as the new chairman of a lifeboat station.
Paul Jeffries is the new chairman of Cromer RNLI, following in the footsteps of Richard Annis, who stepped down earlier this year.
Mr Jeffries is no stranger to the lifeboat station, having volunteered from 1981 to 2014.
He served on both the inshore and all-weather lifeboats in roles including emergency mechanic, assistant mechanic, and second coxswain.
Mr Jeffries, said: "It’s a real honour to return to the station in this new role.
"Cromer RNLI has been such a big part of my life, and I’m proud to be supporting the incredible volunteers who continue to give so much to our community.
"I’m excited to play my part in helping the station move forward."
John Redmond, Cromer RNLI lifeboat operations manager, said: "On behalf of everyone at Cromer RNLI we are so pleased that Paul has accepted the position as chair.
"His involvement with the station spans decades and it is wonderful to welcome him back."
