Business park plan will bring 25 jobs to town

The next phase of a future business park at a former canning factory site could bring 25 jobs to a Norfolk town.
Plans have been lodged to develop part of the land between the railway line at North Walsham and Hornbeam Road, opposite the new Mulberry Grove housing estate built by Hopkins Homes.
The green light has already been given for one building in the future Hornbeam Business Park, and tools and hardware retailer, Screwfix, is set to move in there.
Now, Birchwood Building wants to put up two more buildings with 24 parking spots, and estimates 25 jobs will be created once they are occupied by businesses.
Birchwood says the buildings would be similar to the future Screwfix building already approved, and they would both be eight metres high.
And Birchwood's planning statement said there was yet more space for development on the site.

It reads: "There is potential for up to 14 units that could be constructed on the site giving North Walsham a much needed employment push along with attracting addition companies/business to the town.
"Being located next to the train station and along Norwich road allows great transportation links and the completed Hornbeam Business Park will be a welcome change to the derelict site of the previous canning factory.
"The proposed units have been designed matching the already approved design which is a modern look and designed to exceed current regulations regarding insulation and energy consumption ensuring the building is future proofed."
The plans do not show which firms would move onto the site, but suggest they could be used as plumber/builder showrooms, or an MOT service station.
The firm plans to install an 80 cubic metre soakaway underneath the car park to cope with downpours.
The proposal says: "The proposed units will complement the already approved unit on this employment development designated site and they are envisaged to generate over 25 full time jobs for its mixed use classification based on calculations from the employment density guidelines 2010.
"The design and specification of the unit has been carefully created for the units setting and for a site with very high development costs."
