New and old businesses are undergoing changes with expansions, revamps and closures across Norfolk.
Additions to the high street include a craft ale bar and a deli gift shop, while a huge company is closing one of its branches for refurbishments.
1. Popular city pub opens new craft ale bar next door
A new addition to the Fat Cat Brewing family specialising in craft ale has opened in Norwich.
The bar - dubbed The Mad Cat - opened on May 8 next to The Fat Cat pub in West End Street.
The Mad Cat will focus on serving a range of craft ales, both on draught and in cans, but will also stock real ales, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
2. Friends open Leli's Deli and Gift Shop in Swaffham
Two friends who met when they were stallholders at a craft market have launched a bricks-and-mortar store in Swaffham.
Lesley Dumpleton, 56, and Mike Mooney, 46, have opened Leli's Deli and Gift Shop across two floors at 21 Plowright Place.
The ground floor is a deli, with items including cold meats, cheeses, jams and chutneys, sweet treats from west Norfolk business Miam Miam, Mrs Dumpleton's fudges and marinades and, at weekends only, fresh bread.
3. McDonald's in Great Yarmouth closes for two-month revamp
The fast food restaurant in Purely Court in Great Yarmouth closed on May 2 for renovations.
The work will combine a fresh restaurant layout including the latest technology, with McDonald's bosses promising a faster service.
A reopening date for the restaurant is still to be confirmed, but it is hoped to be completed by the beginning of July.
4. Golf retailer to celebrate store opening with goodie bags and prizes
American Golf is set to open a "new and improved" store in the Sweet Briar Retail Park in Norwich on Friday following the closure of its former shop in Guardian Road.
Founded in 1978, American Golf is the UK’s largest golf retailer, with 85 stores and online retail offering a selection of golf clubs, equipment, clothing and footwear.
The store opening will be celebrated with a VIP launch evening and local golfers of all abilities are encouraged to visit from 5pm.
5. Café up for sale as father and daughter duo announce plans to move on
A father and daughter team has announced they will be selling their city café after four and a half years.
Greg and Gemma Gladwell purchased the Cherry Leaf in St Giles Street at the end of 2019 when Gemma was 22.
Now, four and a half years later, the pair have decided that the time has come to hand the reins over to someone new.
The café is listed for £72,000 with four and a half years left on a nine-year lease.
