A new home could be built in a back garden in a conservation area.
Fenland council has received plans to build a two-storey house behind an existing property in Wisbech.
A planning statement says the site is at the corner of Clarkson Avenue and Tavistock Road.
It adds the area is "residential in character, comprising of traditional-styled dwellings" within the Bowthorpe Conservation Area.

Plans show a two-storey, two-bedroom house with bay windows to the front and a new access off Tavistock Road.
The statement adds: "The proposal is for a single dwelling within a residential area where the use is entirely appropriate to the surrounding character.
"The proposed dwelling will front Tavistock Road and accordingly has been designed to address the character of this particular street scene."
A decision is expected later this year.
