A new festival celebrating all things Norfolk is launching in the Broads this summer.

Jennifer Holland is organising the first-ever Norfolk Day Festival in July which will feature local food, drinks, music and performers.

There will also be several food trucks, stallholders selling artisan jewellery, honey and handmade gifts, as well as a mobile bar.

A "kid zone" with a local magician will provide entertainment including balloon animal-making and circus performances.

The event organisers also plan to feature a '60s scooter show and retro vehicles such as fire engines and tractors.

It will be held at Hoveton Village Hall and entry will be free.

Ms Holland said: "The reason we are putting this event on is that we are trying to save our village hall which is a vital resource for the community.

"Friends of Hoveton Village Hall was set up last year to find ways to fundraise and get more people to come together and have fun, learn something new and help small businesses."
