A man who was arrested on suspicion of causing the death of a 13-year-old cyclist in a hit-and-run has been rebailed.

Alfie Brown, 13, from North Walsham, died when he was knocked off his bike by a white Ford Ranger truck on Knapton Road, near the village of Swafield, on the evening of August 10.

Alfie, who was due to start Year 9 at North Walsham High School, was cycling home at the time.

An inquest into his death is ongoing.

The driver of the vehicle - a man in his 50s - was arrested later that night on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

He was released on bail, which expired yesterday (November 30), and he has now been rebailed until February 10 next year.
