Not-for-profit groups in Cromer have the chance to share in a £1,700 pot which has just been set up to help good causes around the town.
The Grove Hotel and Restaurant in Overstrand Road has launched a new community fund, with hopes of giving away up to £7,500 each year.
Chris Graveling, from the Grove, said the pot was being funded by the Grove’s 300 club - a scheme it runs to give members monthly prizes and discounts.
Mr Graveling said: “Half the money raised from the club goes into the pot.
"We’re already starting to get applications - at the moment the only criteria we’re saying is they have to be local to Cromer.
“Then there is a panel of three of us that will look at them and divide the money up.”
Mr Graveling said the team at the Grove was hoping to help a number of worthy causes around Cromer each year.
Applications for a share of the pot should be made as soon as possible, and can be done online at thegrovecromer.co.uk/local-community-fund
