See the Norfolk Broads in a new light as the Ludham Illuminated Boat Parade gears up to return this month.

The event, organised by The Friends of St Catherine's Ludham, will be on Saturday, September 16 2023 and it starts at 6pm in both Potter Heigham and Ludham.

By Potter Heigham Bridge, the Blakeney Old Wild Rovers and The Occasional Ceilidh Band will be performing from 6.15pm.

Party band Ignite will perform from 6.15pm at Womack Staithe in Ludham, where the illuminated parade will depart at 6.45pm with flags flying.

The boats will light up at 7.30pm as they approach Potter Heigham Bridge - this will be closed to traffic so it will be a great place to watch. 

They will then parade back to Ludham and they will arrive back at Womack Staithe at 8.30pm.

There are 20 boats and all will have a theme, ranging from Under the Sea featuring Jaws to Alice in Wonderland. 

There are car parks in both locations and there will be plenty of food and drink, including the Kings Arms Ludham with a bar and burgers.

Donations are encouraged at the event.
