A group of ladies from a north Norfolk village who bared all in live stage performances of the Calendar Girls have raised £1,000 for charity.
Members of the long-running theatre group the Mundesley Players stripped off for a special stage performance of the Calendar Girls - the true story of a group of women from Yorkshire who undressed for a revealing calendar to fundraise for Leukaemia Research (now Blood Cancer UK).
Cheryl Collings, chairwoman of the Mundesley Players, said: “£1,000 is a fantastic amount for our small group to be able to donate to the Blood Cancer charity.
“As the basis of the play was built around losing a loved one to cancer, it seemed only right that we should try to give something back.”

In the play, Annie’s husband, John, dies of leukaemia and a group of her friends from the Women’s Institute rally together to raise money for a new settee for the local hospital waiting room in his honour.
The women ditched the traditional Women’s Institute calendar of bridges and churches to pose for a daring new naked one.
News of the calendar spread far and wide, and the world’s press gathered at the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Mundesley Players’ performed across four nights from July 26 to 29 at the village’s Coronation Hall, and money was raised through raffles, bucket collections and ticket sales.
“Our show was totally sold out on some performances,” Cheryl Collings said. “The capacity audiences were kind enough to donate a fantastic £860, and the rest came from ticket sales.”
The Mundesley Players are now looking for new people to join their group and are asking people to get in touch via their Facebook page or by emailing mundesleyplayers@outlook.com.
