Artists have been whipping up a creative storm for an art trail to mark the installation of a ‘time and tide’ beach bell over the August bank holiday weekend (August 26-28).

Around 24 artists living in and around Happisburgh have created works for the trail, which is in celebration of the Spirit of Happisburgh bell, installed in early July.

Works by a further 22 artists spanning sculpture, painting, jewellery, photography and fabric will go on show at the Wenn Evans Community Centre.

Rob Payne, who led the group responsible for bringing the bell to the beach, said: “These works will showcase the incredible quality and range of styles of the artists in our region.

“From traditional to quirky from stone to felt there will be something to delight all audiences.”
