A dog who had her tail "hacked off" is looking for her forever home after coming up for adoption in Norfolk.

"Gentle but bouncy" Bonnie, a one-year-old lurcher, is boarding with Norfolk Greyhound Rescue while she awaits a loving family.

Bonnie came to the rescue centre from Ireland only two weeks with a "hacked off" tail, leaving her with a "tiny stump".

As well as being good with other dogs, she is also cat-friendly, crate trained and can be let off a lead.

The rescue centre says Bonnie is exceedingly affectionate, loves her humans and is very eager to please - making her an ideal training partner.

A spokesman for Norfolk Greyhound Rescue said: "Because she is a young dog, her old family didn't listen and let Bonnie go in and take over.

"They didn't set boundaries for her and as such she took advantage."

But with some behavioural training, the Norfolk Greyhound Rescue feels Bonnie would make a very loving and loyal pet.
